Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LBI WatchDog website, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Light Bulb Ideas LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

LBI WatchDog is a proactive device monitoring and automation platform for lighting and related infrastructure. The Service provides device telemetry, alerting, scheduling, reporting, and notification capabilities for authorized business users and their organizations.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

The Service is intended for business and commercial use. You must be authorized by your organization to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. SMS Messaging Program Terms

This section applies specifically to the LBI WatchDog SMS alert program. By providing a mobile phone number and consenting to receive SMS messages, you agree to these SMS Messaging Program Terms directly with Light Bulb Ideas LLC (LBI WatchDog). SMS consent is not transferred through any third-party affiliate, lead generator, or marketing partner.

3.1 Program Description

The LBI WatchDog SMS program sends transactional device alert messages only. Messages may include notifications about device offline/online status, relay state changes, power monitoring alerts, AI analysis alerts, test notifications, and related service alerts configured by an authorized administrator for devices you manage.

This is not a marketing, affiliate, or third-party lead-generation program. We do not send unsolicited promotional SMS messages through this program.

3.2 How You Opt In

You may opt in to SMS alerts through any of the following methods:

Web application (primary method): An authorized administrator or device manager logs in at https://lbiwatchdog.com/app, selects a device under Customer Details, opens the Notifications tab, enters a mobile phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +15551234567), and clicks Save. A confirmation SMS is sent to the number.
SMS keyword reply: Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP to opt back in after opting out.

Consent is given directly to LBI WatchDog. Consent is not obtained through a third party on your behalf unless you are an authorized representative entering your own number or a number for which you have authority to receive operational alerts.

3.3 Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies. Most recipients receive approximately 1–10 messages per month, depending on device activity and alert settings. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.

3.4 Opt-Out and Help

Reply STOP to any message to cancel SMS alerts.
Reply HELP for program information.
Reply START or YES to re-subscribe after opting out.

3.5 Mobile Information — Non-Sharing

We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We use Twilio and other infrastructure providers solely to deliver messages on our behalf. These providers act as data processors for message delivery and do not acquire independent marketing rights to your mobile number through this program.

3.6 Supported Carriers

SMS delivery is subject to your wireless carrier's network availability. LBI is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages caused by carrier or network issues.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use the Service in violation of applicable law.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LBI disclaims warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. Monitoring and alerts are assistive tools and do not replace professional inspection, maintenance, or emergency response procedures.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LBI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for failure or delay of alert notifications, including SMS or email delivery failures.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
